Note: this article was published as a feature article in Poets & Quants’ 2014 Rankings Guide As prospective students begin thinking about the business school admissions ordeal, one of the first things they often do is market research. Just as if you were to buy…

  • What You Can Do NOW to Boost Your MBA Application

With deadlines for MBA applications about six months away, you might think there’s not much you can do to prepare right now other than take the GMAT or GRE. Even if you’re planning to apply to schools next year, you may think that your profile…

  • What is the Best Business School for a Career in Finance?

Because I worked for Goldman Sachs right out of business school, later worked in investment management, and now consult with companies like BlackRock, lots of people ask what MBA program they should attend if they want a career in finance.  And they also wonder if…

  • TUCK IS DIFFERENT

Tuck is one of the only top schools that allow for open interviews–Kellogg is the other.  With Tuck it’s a bit tricky, because the student may be visiting for the first time on the very day of their interview. So prospective Tuckies have to be…

  • Some Encouraging Advice from Recent Alums

What People Are Saying

I once told Betsy she is "amazeballs", well, because I believe she is. Betsy was both a mentor and a friend and helped me to continue to have faith in myself throughout the overwhelming process of MBA applications. She helped me explore my school options and put me in touch with people who could offer additional guidance. Because she took the time to really get to know me, Betsy helped me present my strongest self throughout my essays and was a large factor in my getting accepted to my top choice.

Betsy has a gift! Working with her I actually enjoyed the application process. I wouldn't have gotten in without Betsy's help.

Betsy! I miss you! Seriously, your lessons are relevant to every assignment and essay I have written in the last year. I owe you a debt of gratitude.

I would strongly suggest working with Betsy if you are looking for one-on-one attention, especially if you have a finance background or international experience. She took a very holistic approach to the process, was really interested in talking me through my highs and lows up to this point and true gut feel for why this school/why MBA. I did not have a very straightforward story (lay offs, international moves, liberal arts major with only ok GPA) and my GMAT was not stellar, but I feel that I was able to put my best foot forward in this cycle with Betsy's guidance.

Thank you for helping me put in the best application I could. And now I'm Hanover-bound --time to upgrade my winter wardrobe!
